♦ Things I miss from home:
Being in California has taught me many things, but mostly its taught me what I need most in my life and those things are….
- My family and friends are obviously at the top of this list, I can’t explain how much I miss seeing them, I’m so grateful we have social media and Facetime to make this transition so much easier.
- Driving to work without risking my own life or the lifespan of my car, driving down the 101 everyday has made me realise how polite drivers are in England!
- An English voice, its amazing how hard some things are in America, for instance ordering Water – not one person in a restaurant has understood me saying the word water. It’s got to the point I’m ordering H2O, or acqua minerale!!
- Food, clothing and entertainment that costs less than my monthly salary. Everything costs so much more in the Bay Area, it makes going out, buying new things much more a conscience thing than me popping into Lakeside every weekend and buying the contents of H&M, New Look or Primark! (I just want a 90p pair of flip flops to go get the mail)
- Roundabouts, don’t get me wrong I do like a good stop sign but come on a roundabout every now and then would solve a lot of waiting around here.
- Food…. I miss the food soooo much, so here is a slideshow of the food I desperately miss ♥
